What is NER Bamboo Portal?
The NER (North Eastern Region) Bamboo Portal is a Web portal solely dedicated to the promotion of the bamboo sector across the North Eastern Region of India, established under the National Bamboo Mission (NBM), India and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Technical Collaboration for Bamboo Use promotion in NER. It is an outcome of several Stakeholders Meeting organised under the said initiative. The portal is a one-stop platform designed to support and promote; both the producers and the buyers engaged in Bamboo Sector by bringing together all relevant information at one place. Further, the portal also aims to build strong networks among stakeholders—facilitating connections and potential partnerships between producers and buyers in the Region.

Who maintains the Portal?
The North East Cane and Development Council (NECBDC),
as the Implementing Agency for the Technical Collaboration initiatives of the
NBM and JICA,
maintains the NER Bamboo Portal.
Being a collaborative initiative of the Stakeholders, the Portal is owned by all the participating Stakeholders.
